Responsibilities:
- Group Treasury is responsible for all funding, banking, cash management, financial investment and foreign exchange matters throughout the Group
- You will contribute to the success of the team by acting as the Treasury Business Partner for a defined Business Unit(s).
- You will need to develop a clear understanding of the risks and opportunities for the Group and how these affect the performance of individual business units. Once identified, your role is to ensure these risks and opportunities are understood by business unit managers and integrated into their commercial plans. It is imperative that Regional level management understand the risks inherent in their business models and develop longer-term mitigation strategies. It is your role to educate and advise the management teams so they see Treasury as a true partner who strengthens the performance of the region.
- This position reports to the International Treasurer and is based in Uxbridge involving some travel.
- Work with the BU and regional management team to develop a consistent approach to quantifying, measuring and managing risk.
- Optimise the BU’s cash management/banking structure in conjunction with Group Treasury.
- Ensure an efficient funding model (mix of debt and equity) is developed for the countries making up the region. This is to be closely linked to the Tax function and will cover cash flow forecasting and cash repatriation strategies.
- Work closely with operating management to ensure that major decisions such as product sourcing and supplier selection take into account possible treasury risks.
- Identify devaluation risks for the region. In conjunction with operating and regional management, develop plans to mitigate these risks wherever possible.
- Provide specialist advice to the region in regards to capital management.
- Assist Group Treasury with the development of a risk management strategy that provides clear guidelines to the regions regarding hedging activities.
- Provide training and advice to operating management on treasury issues such as currency hedging, local cash management, controls/policies and banking issues, ensuring that best practice procedures are followed.
- Contribute to the development of a standardised Treasury Management System that captures in real time, regional financial exposures.
- Work on ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates who are qualified accountants and have membership to Treasury profession organisations such as the Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK). However consideration will be given to candidates with a high level of economic awareness & financial project management knowledge gained through MBA/Consultancy backgrounds.
- Ability to command respect and influence across the business by developing close and effective working relationships with operating management.
- Ability to respond quickly to business needs, particularly in changing market conditions – strong customer orientation is essential.
- Ability to lead/manage projects and engage stakeholders.
- High level economic awareness.
- Ability to present and communicate vision to large groups.
- Ability to work under own initiative and drive change.
- Strategic mind and ability to think outside of the box.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be prepared to undertake regular travel.
