Senior Gas Supply Analyst

Employing around 1,000 people, TRUenergy has an impressive portfolio of generation and retail assets including wind farm developments and is engaging in new, strategic investments in clean energy generation technologies such as geothermal and solar. Reporting to the Manager Gas Supply, an excellent opportunity now exists to join this critical team responsible for TRUenergy's long-term gas supply and portfolio management
Key Responsibilities:
- Extracting maximum value from the portfolio through analysis and contract management
- Integrating new supply or demand requirements into portfolio operations
- Ensuring compliance to market operating rules
- Translating short and medium-term strategy into operational plans for implementation by Physical Markets
- Assisting in formulating the bidding strategy for gas spot market operations
- Assisting in negotiating the buying and selling of gas supply
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary educated in a numerate or commercial discipline, ideally with a minimum of three to five years' analytical experience in gas market operations or an associated discipline
- Operational knowledge of the Victorian, SA and NSW gas markets and an understanding of the gas market regulatory framework
- Knowledge of supply contracts, gas transport and gas market structures
- Sound influencing and negotiation skills
- Advanced analytical skills including strong Excel ability
