An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join a dynamic team in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane. This opportunity to to assist with the busy run to the EOFY on a 2 month temporary contract, with WFH flexibility and an attractive hourly rate.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on maintaining order and accuracy in all things financial, from recording transactions to reconciling bank statements. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with accountants and manage the financials of multiple clients.

The Role:

As the Bookkeeper, you will play an integral role in maintaining the financial order and accuracy for the organisation's clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable and assisting with payroll. You will also be expected to maintain ledgers, reconcile bank statements, and collaborate with accountants to ensure smooth financial operations. Your ability to use accounting software effectively will be crucial in this role.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Bookkeeper position brings a wealth of experience in bookkeeping, with a specialised background managing multiple client's financials. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective time management skills, meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy, with a strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and payroll procedures is required. The ability to work collaboratively with accountants and other team members is crucial, as is a commitment to following established accounting policies.

  • Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation
  • Proficiency in using accounting software
  • Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of accounts payable/receivable and payroll procedures
  • Experience in maintaining ledgers and financial records
