Accounts Payable Officer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dependable Accounts Payable Officer, on an initial 3 month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to key projects, utilise your technical skills and delivering outcomes.

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial obligations and having a key focus on the projects within the business.

Your day to day:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes
  • Managing project based spending and reconciliations
  • Follow up on invoice approval for payments
  • Enter authorised invoices
  • Process weekly payments
  • Upload ABA bank files and send remittances
  • Follow up statements and provide information on month-end accruals
  • Manage the accounts inbox

The ideal Accounts Payable Officer will have previous experience in Accounts Payable and brings a wealth of technical skills.

What you bring:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated to delivery outcomes
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup, xlookup, sumifs etc.
  • Experience with accrual accounting
  • Ability to investigate and resolve basic issues independently
  • Fast learner who can adapt to change
