Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Accounts Payable Manager for a 4-week contract role based in Sydney CBD. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role, overseeing the work of the Accounts Payable team during annual leave cover. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive daily rate of $450 - $500 + Super.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our client's organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. You will review and approve payment requests, maintain up-to-date records, and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues. Additionally, you will prepare regular reports on AP performance, providing valuable insights that can help shape future strategies.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team
  • Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review and approve payment requests
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Prepare regular reports on AP performance


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing accounts payable processes. You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, coupled with excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Your ability to manage a team effectively will be key in this role, as you oversee the work of the AP team. Proficiency in relevant accounting software is essential, as is your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
