Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. In this role, you will manage the entire AP function autonomously, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience, thrive in high-volume environments and be committed to continuous improvement across the AP function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable processes, including invoice receipt, coding, and payments processing.
  • Verify and reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve AP-related queries and issues.
  • Implement and maintain AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the AP function.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits.
  • Prepare and analyse AP reports to monitor key performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an AP role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Proven ability to manage the end-to-end AP function autonomously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
