Accounts Payable Manager

This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the effective and efficient operation of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring delivery to the business. You will be responsible for completing the monthly payables cycle in accordance with established policies, practices, and procedures. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including operations, administration, senior management, purchasing, training, finance staff, auditors, and suppliers.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Manager, your primary responsibility will be leading and managing the Accounts Payable Team to ensure smooth operation of the department. You will be involved in completing the monthly payables cycle following established policies, practices, and procedures. Your role will also involve addressing queries from other departments, preparing payments for suppliers, reconciling vendor statements, and performing general administrative duties. Safety is paramount in this role; hence you will be expected to promote and adhere to all safety obligations.

• Lead and work as part of the Accounts Payable Team
• Complete the monthly payables cycle in accordance with established policies
• Address and complete queries for other departments
• Prepare periodic payments to suppliers
• Check and reconcile vendor statements
• Perform general administrative duties
• Promote and adhere to safety obligations

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Manager position brings a wealth of experience in similar roles. With at least five years' experience in an Accounts Payable / Supervisory / Management position or similar role, you are self-motivated and detail-oriented. Your ability to work autonomously while effectively multi-tasking sets you apart. Excellent communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal abilities enable you to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of GP Dynamics (AP module) is essential for this role. A customer service orientation is key as you will often deal with supplier queries.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable / Supervisory / Management position or similar role
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Ability to work autonomously and multi-task effectively
• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of GP Dynamics (AP module)
• Customer service oriented
