Junior Accountant Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Sydney - Central Tablelands

Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide support in the provision of efficient and effective financial and administrative services. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of tasks including accounting, finance, treasury, information technology, and compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you'll do:

• Manage and post all entries from the banking accounts to general ledgers on a daily basis.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, along with other relevant Board reports.
• Prepare and submit the returns for payroll tax, fringe benefits tax, and Business Activity Statements.
• Process all payroll according to policies and legislation using the HR and payroll systems.
• Establish new and maintain existing supplier accounts.
• Prepare liquidity calculation and forecast, including all compliance tests (i.e. credit exposure limits, HQLA minimum).
• Assist with upgrades to the core banking system, online banking channels, and phone banking.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory and industry body reports

Key Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software such as MYOB Bank Link data email and Xero interface.
• Knowledge of payroll processing according to policies and legislation.
• Ability to establish new supplier accounts.
• Understanding of liquidity calculation and forecasting.
• Experience assisting with system upgrades.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting
