Accounts Officer
About the Role We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to join our Finance team within a leading financial services organisation. In this role, you will support the smooth and accurate management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and financial operations across the business. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment and enjoys problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable (Core Focus)
- Process incoming payments and vendor invoices
- Prepare and execute supplier payment runs
- Raise client invoices and manage receipting of funds
- Perform daily and month-end transaction processing
- Manage prepayments, fixed asset registers, and related records
- Administer corporate credit cards and employee reimbursements
Reconciliations & Financial Support
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger reconciliations
- Conduct periodic account reconciliations
- Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as required
Stakeholder Engagement
- Respond promptly to internal and external finance queries
- Collaborate with business units, senior finance staff, and colleagues
- Build positive working relationships and demonstrate a client‑centric mindset
Risk, Compliance & Standards
- Adhere to organisational policies, processes, and legislative requirements
- Escalate compliance issues where required
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all finance outputs
About You

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Collaborative approach and willingness to support team goals
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
