A leading organisation is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their Property Strategy and Finance team. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to become a key commercial partner, providing rigorous financial analysis and decision support while helping shape the long-term strategy for a multi-billion dollar property portfolio. - Retail or large complex organisation experience desirable - Competitive salary based on experience

What you'll do:

  • Support the development and execution of long-term property strategies by conducting thorough market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Own and enhance performance reporting for Property Leasehold Management, ensuring accuracy in all data presented to stakeholders.
  • Prepare strategic reviews on portfolio performance as well as future network planning for senior leadership, contributing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Assist with Business Unit store network reporting, including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and competitor analysis to ensure robust financial oversight.
  • Prepare robust, data-driven business cases that support strategic initiatives and provide clear recommendations for investment decisions.
  • Perform post-investment reviews to assess project performance against original business cases, ensuring lessons learned are captured for future projects.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to the Property team by providing commercial advice and constructively challenging assumptions where necessary.
  • Translate complex financial and strategic information into actionable insights that can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and reports—including Board Updates—to facilitate strategic decision-making by senior management.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Strategy, and Supermarkets to ensure alignment on key objectives.



What you bring:

  • Approximately five or more years’ experience in commercial finance, business partnering, corporate strategy, top-tier consulting or corporate finance roles within large organisations.
  • Experience within property management, retail environments or other large-scale corporate settings is highly desirable but not essential for success in this position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic problem solving using established frameworks alongside proven project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills paired with excellent interpersonal abilities that enable you to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven track record in developing complex financial models as well as preparing detailed investment business cases for review by senior leaders.
  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent is highly regarded; candidates without this qualification but with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Advanced skills in creating compelling presentations using PowerPoint or Google Slides are required to communicate findings effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while maintaining a focus on shared goals and outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with analytical thinking ensures accuracy in all aspects of reporting and analysis.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training opportunities offered by the organisation.
