Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Accounts Assistant to join their team in East Melbourne. This role offers an attractive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be the backbone of the financial data entry processes, providing excellent internal consumer service and working collaboratively with the broader team to produce positive consumer outcomes and brand image. What you'll do:


As an Accounts Assistant, your primary objective will be to provide appropriate support to financial data entry processes. You will be responsible for administering accounting functions including accounts receivable and payable. Your role will involve being the consistent point of contact for clients, residents and vendors, ensuring that all enquiries are handled accurately. You will also be tasked with following up on outstanding invoices in a timely manner. Your role will require you to maintain accurate documentation in business systems such as Alayacare and Epicor. Additionally, you will assist with payroll processing when required.


* Provide appropriate and sufficient support to financial data entry processes.
* Administer accounting functions including accounts receivable and payables.
* Serve as the consistent point of contact for clients, residents and vendors.
* Follow up on outstanding invoices with clients in a timely manner.
* Ensure accurate administration and data entry processes for all clients, residents and vendors.
* Carry out banking operations accurately and in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate documentation in business systems such as Alayacare and Epicor.
* Produce monthly statistical reports as requested.
* Maintain privacy and confidentiality of consumers and business information.
* Assist with payroll processing (up to 2 days per fortnight).


What you bring:


The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant position brings proven experience in a similar role. You possess strong knowledge of accounting functions including accounts receivable and payables. Your excellent communication skills enable you to handle enquiries from various stakeholders effectively. Experience with business systems such as Alayacare and Epicor would be highly beneficial. A key part of your role involves maintaining privacy and confidentiality of consumers and business information; hence, your ability to uphold these standards is crucial. Experience assisting with payroll processing would be advantageous.


* Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar.
* Strong knowledge of accounting functions including accounts receivable and payables.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle enquiries from clients, residents and vendors.
* Experience with business systems such as Alayacare and Epicor is desirable.
* Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality of consumers and business information.
* Experience assisting with payroll processing is advantageous.
