Assistant Manager/Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, CA qualified, Assistant Manager/Manager (depending on experience) to join a passionate team of trusted advisors. This role offers the chance to provide a full range of quality tax, accounting and business services to a broad domestic and international client base. The successful candidate will be based in the heart of Leederville in a newly constructed office, working with a dedicated and friendly team.

What you'll do:

  • Provision of taxation and business services for clients in a range of industries
  • Preparation of financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for Companies, Partnerships, Trusts and Individuals
  • Assisting the team and clients by checking or completing reconciliations of accounts including fixed asset registers, accounts payable/receivable and payroll accounts
  • Preparation of BAS/IAS reconciliations and returns and other GST and payroll obligations
  • Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax returns
  • Liaising with clients and attending to various requests
  • Liaising with the ATO for and on behalf of clients


What you bring:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or similar
  • CA qualification
  • 2 years management experience for managers, or 5 years public practice accounting experience for assistant managers
  • Experience using accounting systems including Xero Practice Manager Xero Tax
  • Knowledge of ATO Tax Portal, SuiteFilesClass, Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to join in, and add to, the positive culture of the practice
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and strong time management skills
  • Good with interpersonal relationships and stakeholder management
