They are seeking a Head of Finance to manage all financial activities within the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislations and maintaining strong banking relationships. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute significantly to the strategic planning and financial health of the organisation.

What you'll do:
As a Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing all financial activities within our client's organisation. You will work closely with the CEO to develop annual budgets, manage accounting needs, ensure legislative compliance, and identify new funding opportunities. Your role will also involve improving financial processes through automation and technology, providing regular reports to the Finance and Audit Committee, managing organisational expenses, and developing strong internal relationships. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact within a leading not-for-profit organisation.

  • Work closely with the CEO to develop annual budgets and forecasts
  • Manage the organisation's accounting needs and produce financial modelling and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with all required legislations
  • Maintain strong banking relationships
  • Implement financial controls and measures for success
  • Identify and implement new funding opportunities in collaboration with the CEO
  • Develop, maintain, and implement financial policies and procedures that meet governing requirements
  • Improve financial processes through automation and technology
  • Provide monthly Finance and Audit Committee reporting, prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, summarising account information and trends
  • Manage organisational expenses and project costs in accordance with approved budgets

    What you bring:
    The ideal candidate for this Head of Finance position brings a wealth of experience in managing financial activities, ideally in an aged care organisation. You possess strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial reporting. Your experience in identifying and implementing new funding opportunities will be highly valued. Proficiency in using financial platforms such as Xero is essential. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong internal relationships, and your ability to improve financial processes through automation and technology will be a significant asset.
  • Proven experience in managing financial activities in an NFP environment
  • Strong knowledge about the aged care industry
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial reporting
  • Ability to develop strong banking relationships
  • Experience in identifying and implementing new funding opportunities
  • Proficiency in using financial platforms such as Xero
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong internal relationships
  • Ability to improve financial processes through automation and technology
