An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. This role offers the chance to take on significant responsibility, managing financial reporting and compliance, and playing a key role in setting budgets and implementing business plans. With a generous salary package of $130-150k + Super, this Sydney CBD-based position is perfect for an ambitious professional looking to make their mark.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for managing financial reporting and compliance. You will work closely with senior leadership, setting budgets and implementing business plans that drive our success. Your excellent relationship management skills will be crucial as you navigate external relationships related to your role. You will also support capital raising activities, ensuring all metrics and financial reported material is accurate and compliant. Your ability to represent us externally, discussing our brand, values, investment philosophy and differentiators with confidence, will set you apart.

  • Manage financial reporting and compliance within the organisation
  • Work closely with senior leadership on setting budgets and implementing agreed business plans
  • Effectively manage external relationships pertaining to the finance role
  • Support capital raising activities from a finance perspective
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of finance data within the organisation
  • Represent the organisation externally and discuss brand, values, investment philosophy and differentiators knowledgeably


What you bring:

As our ideal candidate for the Finance Manager position, you bring a wealth of experience in financial accounting, fund accounting and financial reporting. Your strong technical abilities in financial analysis are complemented by your proficiency in Excel, Airtable, Xero, Fathom or similar applications. You have a proven track record of structuring and scoping complex problems, applying a range of analytical tools to develop solutions. Your strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to translate financial data into coherent management reports. Furthermore, your ability to prepare presentations for key stakeholders demonstrates your commitment to transparency and effective communication.

  • Tertiary degree in accounting, ideally with CPA qualification
  • Relevant professional experience in financial accounting, fund accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong technical abilities in financial analysis and reporting: excel, airtable, xero, fathom or similar applications
  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prepare presentations and reports for key stakeholders such as board of directors and investors
