Finance Manager

Our client is a boutique fund manager, headquartered in Sydney with c.$3 billion AUM. Reporting to the COO, you will join the firm to support its strategic growth, providing key financial insights and accurate financial reporting. You will be supported by an external finance function & CFO within a sister company during initial phases, and along with business growth will develop to become the Financial Controller. Responsibilities:

• Deliver monthly performance reports and conduct variance analysis to guide decision-making.
• Oversee accounting operations, maintaining the general ledger and ensuring data accuracy.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations (BAS/IAS/PAYG), and corporate governance.
• Prepare shareholder reports, IFRS financial statements, and liaise with auditors

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant, experience in funds or financial services
• Expertise in IFRS, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Business Central or similar systems.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing audits, tax reporting, and financial operations.
