Senior Finance manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager / Controller to lead finance for a Venture Capital firm in Sydney. In this newly created role, the successful candidate will lead day-to-day financial operations, manage investment operations. * Lead day-to-day financial operations, statutory and regulatory reporting * Manage investment operations and portfolio/fund accounting & reporting * Support commercial decision making

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the financial landscape of our client's growing business. You will take charge of the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring smooth cash management, accurate accounts payable/receivable processing, efficient treasury functions, compliant tax practices, and reliable payroll. Your expertise will also be crucial in managing investment operations, maintaining accuracy in portfolio/fund accounting & reporting. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your innovative thinking by developing process improvements and implementing new systems

• Lead day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting and reporting, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, tax, treasury, payroll and insurance
• Manage investment operations, investment portfolio/fund accounting & reporting
• Ensure statutory and regulatory reporting and compliance
• Develop and implement process improvements and IT systems
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures
• Perform ad hoc tasks, including assisting the operations, risk and compliance team
