We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join a utilties company located in the heart of Adelaide CBD. This 6-month temporary assignment offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small finance team and make an impact within the organisation. We’re looking for someone who can start immediately, so if you’re ready to hit the ground running, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
