Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This pivotal role will see you partnering with senior executives, driving process improvements, and supporting the business through its next phase of growth.

About the Role:

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the finance function, ensuring the organisation’s financial health and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. You will play a key role in:

• Driving process improvement and system development to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Partnering with senior executives to provide financial and commercial insights that drive business performance.
• Supporting the business through its continued growth trajectory, including overseeing financial operations for new locations in Sydney and Melbourne.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Managing compliance, risk management, and governance requirements across the group.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and strong commercial acumen to support the business during this exciting period of transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including month-end reporting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance.
• Develop and implement improved systems, processes, and controls to support scalability as the business grows.
• Provide strategic advice to the Managing Director and senior leadership team on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes while monitoring KPIs to ensure targets are met.
• Partner with operational teams to deliver actionable insights that drive profitability and efficiency.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

About You:

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role (experience within property investment or related industries is highly desirable).
• Strong technical accounting skills combined with commercial acumen to influence decision-making at an executive level.
• A track record of driving process improvements and implementing scalable systems in high-growth environments.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
