Finance Manager

What you'll do:
- Lead and sign off on monthly financial closes, ensuring all records are accurate and fully compliant with relevant standards.
- Oversee statutory reporting requirements, regulatory filings, and manage both internal and external audits as the primary liaison with auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise contract governance by ensuring all legal and commercial approvals are secured prior to execution, maintaining strict adherence to control policies.
- Collaborate closely with Legal and Tax teams on compliance matters including board duties, annual general meetings, and governmental reporting obligations.
- Ensure full compliance with labour law, consumer law, sanctions regulations, transfer pricing rules, and timely statutory tax filings while managing tax audits as needed.
- Take ownership of legal entity compliance for multiple entities by assessing dividends distribution, equity adequacy, and cash reserves management.
- Act as the main contact for business operations queries related to operating licences, accreditation processes or local employment regulations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with corporate tax issues concerning purchases, mergers or demergers, creation or liquidation of entities.
- Monitor bank covenants diligently while ensuring shareholder agreements and articles of association are strictly followed at all times.
- Manage Power of Attorney documentation and approval matrices for the market by maintaining up-to-date logs and tracking renewals efficiently.
What you bring:
- Excellent communication skills paired with strong stakeholder management capabilities enable effective collaboration across functions
- CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
- A minimum of 6–8 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles within multinational organisations or those governed by complex regulations is preferred.
- Several years spent in Big 4 audit, assurance or advisory positions.
- Experience using Oracle.
- Demonstrable expertise in financial reporting practices, compliance oversight responsibilities and process improvement initiatives is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS/GAAP principles as well as New Zealand regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while consistently delivering results under tight deadlines is vital.
- Exceptional analytical abilities combined with sound judgement when solving problems or making decisions are important attributes.
- High levels of integrity coupled with meticulous attention to detail underpin your proactive approach towards risk management and compliance matters.
