Accountant

National Advertising business seeks an experienced Accountant for a short-term contract which could be extended or go permanent for the successful applicant. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services you will have no direct reports, this hands-on and busy Accounting role. Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task will be key to your success.

Located in CBD next to the train station this is a full time 5 days per week contract with flexible working hours on offer.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare Income Activity Statements (IAS) and Quarterly BAS
• Provide analysis for FBT return submissions to external tax accountants
• Review and approve monthly payroll
• Monthly Payroll tax submission
• Liaise with external auditors, head office and company directors
• Prepare 6 Monthly cash flow forecasts and reviewed monthly
• Complete Dividend calculations
• Company Secretary function
• Prepare and present monthly Management Meeting reports
• Prepare and submit Quarterly and Annual budgets
• Ad-hoc project analysis
• Provide weekly productivity reports to management
• Process monthly client invoices and follow up on all outstanding debt
• Bank Reconciliations
• Process monthly journals and payments
• Daily bank processing and reconciliation
• Daily processing of creditor invoices and subsequent payments
• Daily project updates to account managers

Key Requirements
• CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Accountant
• Previous experience in Advertising, Media, Digital, Communications preferred
• Recent and ‘hands-on’ experience in a similar role
• Previous contracting experience preferred
