A leading Financial Services firm is currently hiring a Fund Accountant into their team based in Sydney, CBD. Reporting into the Finance Director, the Fund Accountant will be responsible for a range of duties including month/year end tasks, reconciliations and cashflow management of trusts and its reporting and funding requirements. The preferred candidate will be a studying towards or fully CA/CPA qualified and must have experience within Financial Services.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly Trust Reporting and Funding
- Perform Budget and Cashflow Forecast
- Manage investment operation matter for the Trusts and the underlying Assets
- Review distribution calculation, tax returns, BAS and other regulatory report for the Trusts and its operating company
- Review the annual financial reports
- Manage the retail lease of the commercial assets with the external property manager
- Assist with management of debt facility and review of legal documents
- Coordinate payment for the Operating Company and payment arrangement for the Trusts
- Coordinate billing for the Operating Company and follow up aged debtors
- Perform general administrative duties
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., auditors, external service providers)
- Perform ad hoc tasks as requested
- Act as a backup for the Corporate Accountant
Requirements:
- Part-Qualified or Qualified CA/ CPA or international equivalent
- 2-5 years Fund Accounting experience - Property/Real Estate desired
- Sound analytical and reconciliation skills
- Strong communication skills
