Senior Accountant

• $120,000 - $125,000 + super

As an integral Business Partner, the Senior Accountant – Rates, will have accountability for preparation and agreement of the companies annual Rates and Corporate Allocations

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong attention to detail and passion for people. You are keen to broaden your skillset, thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at building and managing stakeholder relationships.

Breadth of Responsibility & Functional Knowledge

• Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation and review of corporate allocations
• The role will support and interface with all businesses including lines of business and multiple projects in order to assist the delivery of functional and enterprise strategy
• Experience in presenting and explaining financial information to financial and non-financial internal and external stakeholders
• In depth functional knowledge of business functions and cost drivers is required to analyse the Corporate Allocation process
• Demonstrated Experience in analysis and challenge of high level financial information
• Review and collate with centre audit contributions, project audit submissions and peer work product
• The role has influence over and contribution toward financial inputs and company financial reporting

• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Minimum 5 years experience in accounting
• Oracle and Hyperion experience is highly desirable
• Strong modelling skills and ability to build and use complex Excel models
• Strong analytical skills to interpret, investigate and explain data to stakeholders
• Ability to think creatively and boldly in order to meet new and complex business requirements
• Exposure to Defence, Utilities/ Mining, Oil & Gas environments
• Experience in rates and head office allocations is preferred
