This role offers the chance to support and assist the Financial Control team during an important integration phase, ensuring the integrity of financial information for inclusion in financial reporting. Opportunity to contribute to half-yearly, annual financial statements and analysis for inclusion in external reports and briefings.

What you'll do:

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Control team during a crucial integration phase. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the integrity of financial information for inclusion in financial reporting. You will also be involved in delivering quality internal and external financial reporting, contributing to half-yearly and annual financial statements, as well as seeking constant improvements in processes and controls. Your proactive approach and ability to demonstrate initiative when investigating solutions will be key to your success.

  • Assist with the delivery of quality financial reporting (internal and external) across the organisation, including standardisation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide general assistance to Senior Manager, Consolidations & Head of Financial Control with finance integration activities.
  • Contribute to half-yearly, annual financial statements and analysis for inclusion in external reports and briefings.
  • Constantly seek to improve processes and controls.
  • Demonstrate an inquiring mind in order to take the initiative in investigating solutions.
  • Develop an understanding of the dynamics and external environment in which the company competes.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant position will bring a wealth of experience from working within complex group structures, preferably within the financial services industry. You will have a proven history of working with and applying accounting standards, coupled with strong Microsoft skills including Word and Excel. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to interact effectively at all levels, while your ability to operate independently will be key. A strong focus on execution, completion skills and attention to detail will set you apart.

  • Degree qualified or near completion is essential.
  • Experience working within a complex group structure is preferable.
  • Financial services industry experience is desirable.
  • History of working with and applying accounting standards is required.
  • Strong Microsoft skills including Word and Excel are necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels (including stakeholder).
  • Ability to operate independently is crucial.
  • Strong execution and completion skills are needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail is vital.
