Your tasks and responsibilities

As a Senior Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for preparing non-standard journal entries, performing FICO reconciliations, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, recommending cash transfers, coordinating intercompany transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Your expertise will also be crucial in supporting both internal and external audits. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values innovation and service.

  • Prepare and post non-standard journal entries.
  • Perform FICO reconciliations and resolve differences.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Recommend cash transfers/funding as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of Corporate Income Tax Returns and Prepare GST/Fringe Benefit Tax returns.
  • Coordinate intercompany transaction processing, confirmation and settlement including review of the accuracy of intercompany charges.
  • Key audit contact and support Internal Audit & External Audit request.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Compile and analyze financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls.

Your profile and experience

The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in commerce or industry. With at least four years of post-qualification experience, you have developed strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, APAC regional income tax, GST, Fringe Benefits Tax Compliance, and generally accepted accounting principles. Your proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, SAP, and Blackline will be highly beneficial in this role. As a qualified accountant (CPA/CA), you are ready to take on new challenges in a global technology solutions company.

  • Qualified Accountant (CPA/CA).
  • Minimum of 4 years post-qualified experience in commerce/industry.
  • Strong knowledge and application of IFRS accounting standards and principles.
  • Knowledge of APAC regional income tax, GST and Fringe Benefits Tax Compliance.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel and Office) programs, experience with SAP and Blackline a plus.
