Financial Accountant - Immediate Start

Our client, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for overseeing all month-end close activities and processes, coordinating monthly reconciliations, preparing corporate financial reporting packs, and providing technical accounting advice. This opportunity is a 12 month contract with an immediate start date.

What you'll do:

• Oversee all month-end close activities and processes
• Coordinate monthly lead sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly Corporate financial reporting packs
• Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts
• Prepare the external audit file and liaise closely with Auditors
• Involvement in internal audit activities and review of the risk/control matrix
• Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts
• Review and lodge monthly BAS together with other statutory matters as required
• Provide technical accounting and financial advice to management and other departments as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant position is someone who thrives in a team environment. You should possess strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail. As an advanced Excel user, you are comfortable handling large data sets.

• Approx. 4+ years experience in a similar role
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong mathematical aptitude & attention to detail
• Advanced Excel user
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities & presentation skills
• Deadline-orientated approach to work
• Good interpersonal skills and customer focus
