Senior Financial Accountant

Client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a 6-month fixed term contract. This role offers an attractive salary of $140000 + Super and the opportunity to work in a hybrid arrangement, providing you with the flexibility to balance your personal and professional commitments. What you'll do:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. You'll prepare financial reports on a regular basis and liaise with both internal and external auditors. Your role will also involve assisting in budget preparation and conducting detailed risk analyses. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment.

• Manage financial transactions and reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Assist in budget preparation
• Conduct detailed risk analyses

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant position brings proven experience in a similar role along with an in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You have hands-on experience with accounting software packages and advanced MS Excel skills. Your experience with general ledger functions and strong attention to detail will be key to your success in this role.

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
