A leading financial services group is seeking a Senior Associate to join their team in Sydney.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of portfolio performance to provide actionable insights for senior stakeholders across various business units.
  • Perform capital and funding analysis to support strategic decision-making processes
  • Prepare comprehensive pipeline reports and track transaction returns to ensure accurate monitoring of investments throughout their lifecycle.
  • Coordinate quarterly and half-yearly portfolio reviews as well as valuation processes in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Collaborate directly with front office deal teams and other internal functions on a global scale to facilitate seamless information flow.
  • Participate in strategic projects such as reporting technology transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing data-driven decision making within the team.
  • Support the preparation of business information packs for management meetings by synthesising complex data into clear narratives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements by maintaining up-to-date documentation and records related to portfolio activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for process optimisation within the business information function.

What you bring:

  • Tertiary qualification with an excellent academic record, preferably in Corporate Finance or Accounting; postgraduate qualifications in Finance or Accounting are highly regarded.
  • 2-4 years’ experience within banking, financial services or professional services in a similar or related analytical role is essential for success in this position.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts including accounting principles and valuation methodologies gained through practical experience.
  • Proven ability to provide business information, analysis and insights within highly data-driven environments where accuracy is paramount.
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams at all levels of seniority across global locations.
  • Strong organisational abilities allowing you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel along with familiarity using reporting tools or business intelligence platforms is desirable.
  • A collaborative approach combined with sensitivity towards diverse perspectives ensures positive contributions within an inclusive team setting.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development demonstrated by active participation in training or pursuit of relevant certifications.
