Financial Accountant (6 Month Contract)

This role suits someone strong in financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and reconciliations who enjoys collaborating across teams and improving processes.

What you’ll do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Partner with departments to gather data and meet reporting deadlines.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyse costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Complete key reconciliations including bank, intercompany, and ledger items.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close (journals, accruals, prepayments).
• Assist with external audits and provide required documentation.
• Recommend process and system improvements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and internal control requirements.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to senior leaders.

What you bring

• CPA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or progressing.
• Experience preparing financial statements under AAS or IFRS.
• Strong budgeting and cost management capability.
• Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Month‑end/year‑end close experience.
• Audit support experience.
• Advanced Excel; exposure to ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
