Financial Analyst

I'm currently recruiting a Financial Analyst for a global manufacturing company based on Sydney's upper North Shore. This role will be pivotal in supporting decision-making processes by providing key financial insights, forecasts, and performance analysis for the business. As part of their close-knit team APAC team, you will work closely with senior management to drive financial efficiency and contribute to the strategic goals of the company.

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Business Partnering

• Analyse business cases, prepare IRR and cash flow models, and conduct impairment reviews.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities in contracts and provide insights into sales and margins.
• Develop technical accounting documents for key business decisions.

Working Capital & Cash Management

• Resolve complex accounts receivable/payable issues and optimise processes.
• Train teams on workflows and monitor GR/IR balances.
• Manage daily cash forecasts and support financing and banking activities.

Statutory Accounting & Tax Compliance

• Prepare and audit statutory accounts, including IFRS 16 schedules and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, review tax returns, and support audits.

Financial Compliance & Governance

• Maintain internal controls, oversee compliance training, and support audits.
• Manage insurance renewals, fixed asset verifications, and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain accurate records for share registers, land holdings, and related party transactions.

General Support

• Assist the Finance Director with financial control, analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or a similar field
• CA or CPA qualification
• Experience working in an audit, big four or mid-tier technical environment
• Clear communication skills and willingness to work in a team in addition to independently
• Strong governance and compliance experience
