Finance Analyst - Open to first movers from Big Four

Our client is a prominent Australian owned financial services organisation seeking a Finance Analyst. This professional will be essential in delivering thorough financial analysis and data-driven insights to support key decision-makers across the organisation. The role requires strong commercial insight, technical expertise, and the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modelling to aid business decision-making.
• Build financial models to help business units enhance their performance.
• Design interactive reports and dashboards utilising Power BI.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing detailed analyses.
• Track financial performance throughout the year, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Communicate analytical findings to business units and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business units to ensure financial insights are comprehensible and actionable.
• Perform financial governance activities for the enterprise project portfolio.

About You:

• Over three years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or a related field.
• High technical expertise in financial analysis tools, especially Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Skilled in extracting and manipulating data from enterprise data warehouses.
• Capable of analysing complex data sets and conveying insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen.
• Experience in creating financial models to aid decision-making.
