Senior Business Analyst- Property

* Permanent position, hybrid opportunity. * Experience in developing and maintaining financial feasibility models. * 4- 5 years experience in property development or complex organisations.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain detailed feasibility models for both new and ongoing property development projects at a national level, ensuring robust financial analysis underpins all key decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure project strategies are aligned with broader organisational objectives, offering constructive insights throughout the process.
  • Prepare and review monthly reporting packs, including Property Committee reports and portfolio insights for Project Control Groups, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communications.
  • Support the capital expenditure process by managing annual budget preparation, monthly forecasting, and regular reporting cycles to provide clear visibility over financial performance.
  • Conduct thorough risk and opportunity assessments for each project to maximise value delivery while assisting with cost management initiatives and benchmarking exercises.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation in financial reporting and forecasting processes, leveraging emerging technologies where appropriate.
  • Work as part of a supportive team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and fosters professional growth through collaborative problem-solving.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial data into wider business planning activities.
  • Provide expert guidance on cashflow management throughout the property development lifecycle, ensuring optimal resource allocation at every stage.
  • Contribute proactively to strategic discussions regarding future property investments by presenting well-researched financial recommendations.

What you bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification is preferred along with at least five years’ experience in a relevant finance role within complex organisations.
  • Demonstrable background in property development finance is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to navigate sector-specific challenges effectively.
  • Exceptional proficiency in financial modelling using Excel or Google Sheets is required for accurate scenario analysis and reporting.
  • Proven track record of engaging constructively with stakeholders at all levels through effective presentation skills and strategic framing of issues.
  • A keen commercial acumen combined with meticulous attention to detail ensures robust evaluation of investment opportunities.
  • Experience supporting capital expenditure processes including budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management within large-scale projects.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial operations using modern technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical mindset capable of conducting comprehensive risk assessments that inform sound business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-financial audiences.
