Financial Controller/Head of Finance

Our client is looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Financial Controller to lead the Finance team, reporting directly into the Managing Director. Operating within the servicing industry, the Financial Controller will take a customer-centric approach whilst maintaining robust financial controls and driving the organisation's commercial strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance team, providing guidance, support and direction for all staff.
• Oversee all aspects of financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations on cost-saving opportunities, investment strategies, and revenue optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Present financial reports and strategic recommendations to the executive team and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support business units with financial analysis and guidance to achieve their goals, particularly across sales and customer service.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong track record in financial management.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role within a service-based company.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of financial control and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
• Proficient in financial software and tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, small team environment and manage multiple priorities.
