What you'll do:

As a Financial Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in managing both accounts payable and receivable functions. Your responsibilities will extend from processing invoices to preparing weekly aged debtors reports. You'll also be involved in preparing BAS and FBT while managing daily cash flow by reconciling corporate bank accounts. Your role will also involve assisting in audit preparations as well as contributing to ad hoc finance projects. Your ability to build positive working relationships will be crucial as you'll frequently liaise with various stakeholders across the business.

  • You will be responsible for the accounts payable function including receiving, processing, and payment of invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, meeting statutory payment obligations and supplier query resolution.
  • You will handle the accounts receivable function including processing and distribution of invoices, customer reconciliations and customer query resolution including follow-up of outstanding invoices.
  • You will prepare weekly aged debtors reporting and liaise with Relationships team for timely resolutions.
  • You will prepare BAS and FBT.
  • You will manage daily cash of the Group by reconciling corporate bank accounts and company credit cards daily and overseeing the reconciliations of client and trust accounts.
  • You will assist in the preparation of the group half year and full year Audit.
  • You will assist with ad hoc Finance team and executive projects or tasks and liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business.


What you bring:

As our ideal Financial Controller, you bring a unique blend of skills that make you stand out. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Your experience meeting month-end deadlines coupled with your excellent communication skills enable you to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential for this role. Your high attention to detail and a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with a CPA qualification or similar, will be key to your success in this role.

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently when required.
  • Experience meeting month end deadlines and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA qualification or similar.
