Our client is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team in Melbourne. This role offers an attractive salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 +super and provides the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial analysis and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Investors. This is an individual contributor role that requires a high level of numeracy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making processes by providing insightful financial analysis and reporting. You will be responsible for preparing the financial model that represents the five-year business plan, tracking performance against key targets, and producing regular corporate-level management information. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our client's success.

  • Prepare communications for Investors and Analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and company compliance requirements.
  • Preparation of the financial model representing the five-year business plan.
  • Manage risk within the Business Unit in accordance with the Group’s overall risk controls.
  • Produce regular financial reporting to give an overview of business and financial performance.
  • Prepare Board reporting of KPIs to assess performance against the Group’s strategy and objectives.
  • Track performance against key targets and outcomes and produce regular corporate level management information.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Analyst position brings a wealth of industry experience in financial services along with excellent analytical skills. You are able to think independently, draw conclusions from complex data sets, design analysis reports, and influence decisions using insights. Your ability to prioritise workload under pressure while meeting deadlines will set you apart. A proactive approach towards change coupled with your ability to build and coach a high performing team will be highly valued.

  • System experience with ADAPTIVE.
  • Ability to deliver change messages positively.
  • Ability to identify, build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Detailed knowledge of formulae, numerical modelling techniques.
  • Demonstrable ability to understand and manipulate numerical data.
  • Focus on delivering better results to both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to reduce inconsistencies, risk, errors or inefficiencies by checking output.
  • Willingness to take personal action to address issues or mitigate foreseeable issues.
