What you'll do:
As a Finance Systems Lead, you will play an instrumental role in advancing the organisation’s finance systems landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing strategies that enable transformation across key business functions while championing automation initiatives that reduce manual workloads. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements tailored to business priorities, ensuring seamless integration of new programmes within warehouse inventory systems. - Serve as the subject-matter expert for Warehouse, Operations, and Finance systems strategy by developing comprehensive roadmaps and solution designs that support organisational transformation.
- Lead complex system initiatives including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and automation projects that enhance operational efficiency across departments.
- Analyse existing Finance and Accounting processes to identify areas for automation and process improvement, driving meaningful change throughout the organisation.
- Translate intricate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and effective technical solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Implement new programmes within warehouse inventory systems to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Warehouse, Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and developer/project teams to deliver system enhancements aligned with business priorities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues promptly while ensuring data integrity and robust internal controls are maintained.
- Develop and execute thorough testing plans for all system changes and enhancements to guarantee successful deployment and minimal disruption.
- Provide expert-level guidance to developers and project teams on best practices for finance systems optimisation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology solutions and strategic organisational objectives.

To excel as a Finance Systems Lead, your background should include hands-on involvement with major ERP/EPM platforms where you have led significant implementation or upgrade projects. Advanced analytical abilities combined with technical proficiency in Excel, SQL databases, Power BI or Tableau will empower you to deliver insightful solutions. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field is required for this position.
- At least seven years of experience in finance or accounting roles; experience within a manufacturing environment is considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale systems implementations, upgrades or automation projects within complex organisations.
- Comprehensive understanding of inventory control principles as they relate to warehouse operations.
- Deep expertise in ERP/EPM platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or NetSuite coupled with advanced knowledge of finance processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel along with familiarity using SQL databases, data visualisation tools (Power BI or Tableau), and reporting software.
- Strong grasp of Finance and Accounting principles as well as industry best practices relevant to system optimisation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including IT professionals and senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot intricate system issues while maintaining high standards of data integrity.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into clear functional specifications.
