Assurance Manager

You will play an integral role in shaping the future of our client's business. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure legislative compliance requirements are met across all areas of the organisation. You will also conduct independent assurance reviews that enable the company to identify, manage and respond effectively to risks.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain a program to enhance awareness of risks, control and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Maintain and update assurance programme
• Liaise with Executive and senior managers to plan and conduct complex reviews of operations, internal controls, policies, management of information, governance frameworks and systems
• Communicate with relevant stakeholders in preparing assurance review reports
• Provide recommendations, advice and direction on control strategies, frameworks, policies and accountability measures
• Utilise a risk-based approach to prioritise, schedule and complete the Assurance Programme
• Deliver regular assurance reports
• Conduct special purpose investigations where required
• Implement the Legislative Compliance Framework

What you bring:

• Appropriate qualification or experience in finance, internal audit, external audit or risk management
• Significant experience in modern auditing and evaluation concepts
• Experience managing audit or risk function in large organisations
• Highly developed conceptual, analytical and research skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work independently and plan workloads effectively
• Ability to work confidentially with tact and discretion
