Finance Business Partner/Management Accountant - Government

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic team, on an initial 6 month contract. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a large project already underway in Brisbane.

  • Initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension
  • Brisbane CBD, 2 days WFH
  • Attractive hourly rate
  • You will be playing a pivotal role in partnering with a number of teams within the business

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain productive partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Provide insightful information and advice to key stakeholders
  • Preparation, reporting and analysis of monthly reporting data, cost planning, forecasts and budgets
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports
  • Support project variation and change processes for major works contracts
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of finance and cost management systems
  • Work closely with the Financial Accounting team in the preparation of financial statements



What you'll bring:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, finding clear solutions and communicating these effectively to stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with completed CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
