Project Management Accountant

Our client is searching for a tenured Project Management Accountant to spearhead the financial management of their Australian Battery Energy Storage Systems. Your role

As a Project Management Accountant, your responsibilities will span various critical functions, including cash flow management, where you will ensure timely supplier payments, precise invoicing and maintain comprehensive cash flow forecasts.

You will lead the delivery of financial reporting, preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly project accounts, variance analysis and statutory financial statements that align with Group Finance requirements. Your expertise will extend to managing project accounting, such as revenue recognition, capitalisation policies and statutory compliance, including GST and audits.

Additionally, you will oversee and manage the budgeting and re-forecasting processes, ensuring they reflect project schedules and Group expectations, while also developing work flows to transition development projects seamlessly into the construction phase.

What you will bring

• CPA/CA certified
• Minimum five years in financial management within renewable energy, oil and gas or complex engineering/construction projects
• Ability to clearly articulate financial matters to diverse stakeholders
• Ensures accuracy and quality in financial reporting and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with project systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite or Aconex
