Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a dependable business partner to other teams by providing comprehensive support on all matters relating to performance and financial processes.
- Review, collect, and record data for the preparation of timely and accurate weekly and monthly results and reports.
- Prepare journals and general ledger reconciliations with high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Compile month-end reports including detailed analysis of operating costs to inform key stakeholders of financial performance.
- Liaise regularly with Senior Management, managing queries on site with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Analyse standard versus actual cost variances; identify challenges and opportunities, recommending corrective actions as indicated by performance to meet cost targets.
- Support the business plan and annual budget process by collaborating closely with key stakeholders to build robust financial forecasts aligned with strategic objectives.
- Provide auditors with required samples and reports in a timely manner to facilitate smooth audit processes.
About You:
- Tertiary accounting qualifications complemented by professional membership (CA or CPA) are highly desirable for this role.
- Proven experience in a similar management accounting position within a large business environment is preferred, ideally with at least five years’ relevant experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail is required for accurate data collection, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel including macros, PowerPoint, Word) is essential for daily responsibilities.
- Experience using data reporting tools such as Power BI is considered advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with SAP systems would be beneficial for seamless integration into existing processes.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively while multi-tasking in a busy environment is important for success.
- Demonstrated capacity to identify basic cause-and-effect relationships using strong analytical skills is expected.
- Commercial acumen enabling informed decision-making based on data insights is vital for this position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
