Finance Business Partner

As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide financial insights to support decision-making, manage budgets and forecasts, and drive performance improvements. You’ll collaborate with teams to identify growth opportunities, ensure compliance with standards, oversee month-end reporting, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior stakeholder. This is a 6 month temporary assignment, ideally commencing the first week of February. The role is based in the CBD and is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to drive financial performance and cost efficiencies.
  • Analyse key financial metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support month-end reporting processes, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by delivering actionable insights.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP software).
  • Experience within the oil and gas sector is highly desirable but not essential.
