Accountant

Save job

Our client is looking for a motivated Accountant to join their multinational pharmaceutical company based in Macquarie Park.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting financial reporting and trend analysis
  • External Reporting and Data analysis
  • Reconciling the GL and key systems
  • Automating and simplifying tasks and functions
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and analysing divisional expenses and working capital
  • Providing general business, accounting and internal control support for key business partners
  • Credit and overdue / delinquent debt management
  • Tax compliance activities including GST, FBT, Withholding Tax, Income tax etc.
  • Quarterly Income tax calculations and reporting
  • Enhancing governance and controls within accounting and tax functions
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support and enable the organisation to meet goals and objectives
  • Other activities or adhoc projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred or working towards.
  • Proven experience in tax compliance, business forecasting, and general accounting functions
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBi and automation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong can-do attitude and motivation to work in high-performing and collaborative environment
