Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Payroll Officer to manage a high volume, complex payroll. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, including tax, superannuation payments, reconciliations, and reporting. What you'll do:

As a Payroll Officer, you will be entrusted with the full responsibility of managing a high volume, complex payroll. Your day-to-day tasks will involve everything from processing payments to handling tax calculations and superannuation payments. You'll perform reconciliations and generate reports, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. Your keen eye for detail, combined with your ability to work collaboratively, will ensure the smooth operation of all payroll matters.

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll function ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments
  • Handle tax calculations and superannuation payments in compliance with relevant legislation
  • Perform reconciliations and generate comprehensive reports for management review
  • Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of all payroll matters

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Payroll Officer position brings extensive experience in managing complex, high volume payrolls. You have strong proficiency in using various payroll systems and have hands-on experience with Time & Attendance (T&A) systems. Implementation experience would be desirable but not essential. Your excellent attention to detail, accuracy in your work, and your ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment will set you apart in this role.

  • Proven experience in managing complex, high volume payrolls
  • Strong proficiency in using payroll systems
  • Experience with Time & Attendance (T&A) systems
  • Desirable: Experience in implementing new systems or processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
