Our client, a highly successful global trading firm, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager for a 15-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly and manage payroll for over 600 staff across four countries. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute significantly to project and process improvement work, making this role ideal for those who are committed to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in payroll management.

What you'll do:

As a Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the payroll of over 600 staff across four countries. You will review the work prepared by an outsourced provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your commitment to process improvement will be key in this role as you identify opportunities for enhancement in our systems and processes. With monthly payroll responsibilities, your organisational skills will be put to good use ensuring timely and accurate processing. This role requires collaboration with other departments, demonstrating your strong interpersonal skills.

  • Review and manage payroll for over 600 staff prepared by outsourced provider
  • Oversee payroll processes for four different countries
  • Engage in project and process improvement work to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and standards


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Manager position brings a wealth of experience, with between 8-14 years in the field. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to liaise effectively with various stakeholders, while your proven experience in process improvement will be invaluable in enhancing our systems and processes. Experience with Workday and ADP systems would be advantageous but not essential. Above all, your ability to work effectively as part of a large, complex team will ensure your success in this role.

  • Possess between 8-14 years of experience in payroll management
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Have proven experience in process improvement within a payroll context
  • Experience with Workday and ADP systems would be ideal
