Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Team Lead to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and direction to the Payroll Partners, ensuring an efficient and accurate payroll service in line with governance and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will have the chance to work collaboratively with various teams, contribute to business continuity planning, and drive change and innovation across payroll processing.

What you'll do:

As a Payroll Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading a dedicated team of professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure an efficient and accurate payroll service. You will support the Head of Payroll in managing end-to-end payroll service delivery, ensuring all processes are carried out accurately and on time. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for operational improvement initiatives, providing ad hoc reports to stakeholders as required. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic team.

  • Provide effective leadership to ensure a highly motivated and productive team
  • Support the Head of Payroll in managing end-to-end payroll service delivery
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles
  • Identify ways of effectively delivering services, initiatives, communications, and risk management plans
  • Work with the Payroll team to identify operational improvement initiatives
  • Provide ad hoc reports to stakeholders as required


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Team Lead position brings a wealth of experience in end-to-end payroll processing. With proven leadership skills within a customer service environment, you understand how to motivate a team towards achieving common goals. Your advanced proficiency in Excel, coupled with your experience working within Kronos/Dimensions (UKG), ServiceNow SuccessFactors systems, enables you to manage data accurately and efficiently. As a strong communicator, you have the ability to influence and liaise with people from all functions across the business.

  • Minimum of 5+ years End to End payroll processing experience
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a customer service environment
  • Demonstrated experience working within Kronos/Dimensions (UKG), ServiceNow SuccessFactors systems
  • Advanced proficiency in use of Excel
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and liaise with people from all functions across the business
