Multiple Payroll Opportunities
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Officer and Payroll Officer to join their team. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to provide efficient and effective payroll services to a large workforce. The role involves weekly payroll functions, data analysis, report writing, exposure to project work and providing training and support to the payroll team.
What you will do:
- Conduct exception checking and run payroll efficiently and accurately, adhering to deadlines and updating reports as needed.
- Process new starter documentation promptly and ensure accurate setup in the payroll system, aligning remuneration with employment contracts.
- Accurately and timely process payroll cycles, including salary increases, leave entitlements, and termination payments, in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative requirements impacting payroll and ensure all processes align with these regulations.
- Review fortnightly payroll data for accuracy and collaborate with service managers to resolve any discrepancies.
- Respond promptly to payroll queries, including award interpretation and system advice, providing clear and accurate information.
- Offer training and support to payroll team members on system processes and procedures, developing comprehensive training materials.
- Document payroll and system-related procedures and maintain checklists to ensure consistency and completeness in processing.
- Prepare and distribute clear and accurate reports as required, utilising them to identify trends and areas for improvement.
What you will bring:
- Experience in a similar high-volume payroll role
- Knowledge of payroll-related legislation including superannuation, tax, and Fair Work
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrated operational experience and technical skills across the payroll ambit.
- Ability to analyse and understand data, resulting in the provision of data driven insights.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Exceptional learning agility and an openness to asking questions.
