Payroll Officer

This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a high performing team during an exciting period of growth and development for the organisation. Our client is an industry leading organisation on the forefront of major energy projects across Queensland and beyond.

By joining this team you join an experienced Payroll function with a drive for process improvement and high performance.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure all new personnel are correctly authorised onto the payroll system with comprehensive tax documentation prepared in accordance with company procedures.
  • Check weekly and fortnightly timesheet's for accuracy, including calculation of extended hours when applicable.
  • Oversee the correct remittance of tax and other employee deductions to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Reconcile payroll runs regularly and provide detailed reports on results to management for transparency and accountability.
  • End to end processing and delivery of a multi site payroll.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll processes with proven ability to handle complex calculations related to wages, allowances, leave entitlements, and terminations.
  • Experience with larger payroll systems - Experience with ADP payroll is highly regarded.
  • Relevant formal qualifications in payroll or finance is highly regarded.
  • Strong stakeholder management both external and internal.
  • Experience with multiple EBA's and award interpretations highly regarded.
