Payroll Officer

We are currently partnering with a global organisation seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team based south of the river in Perth. This is an initial contract opportunity with strong potential to become permanent, supporting a Senior Payroll Officer within a complex, multi-region environment.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to work within a large and complex payroll environment, supporting payroll operations across Australia and APAC. You will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support payroll operations across a multi-region workforce
• Perform payroll checks, validations, and reconciliations
• Manage payroll queries and assist with issue resolution, including remediation
• Work closely with an outsourced payroll provider to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with payroll reporting and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and modern awards

About You

• 3–5+ years’ experience in payroll
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and modern awards
• Experience within medium to large, complex organisations
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
