A unique and exciting opportunity for an experience Finance Business Partner/Project Accountant to join a prominent Queensland Government Department. You will be instrumental in driving business performance through profitability analysis, strategic planning, and delivering high-quality service and advice to stakeholders. * Attractive hourly rate * Brisbane inner-suburbs with WFH flexibility * Contract until end of December 2025

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Finance service business stakeholders for better decision-making
  • Interpret, explain, and drive performance using key profitability views and driver-based analysis
  • Contribute to annual planning process and support the Senior Leadership Team with decision making
  • Provide insight on the industry and economic context of performance
  • Review business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Support Project Managers through their budget management

What you'll bring:

  • Ability to create, build and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Customer-focused approach with ability to collaborate across teams
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong systems capabilities
  • Experience working as part of a cross-divisional team
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with TechOne and PowerBI highly desirable
