The Financial Crime Analytics and Reporting team is responsible for the development and management of monitoring controls to ensure the timely detection of incomplete, inaccurate or missing data flows deemed critical to meet Regulatory obligations.
-Develop and manage control reports to identify when controls cease to deliver results as expected. This will include reports over data flows critical to centralised controls, to identify when data sets are incomplete, inaccurate or missing. This will also include regulatory reporting to AUSTRAC, using reporting metrics to test completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reports.
-Ensure that identified data discrepancies are escalated appropriately and ensure oversight of remediation initiatives.
-Implement reporting solutions to simplify and standardise reporting metrics to provide insight to Business Divisions and Financial Crime Compliance teams on the effectiveness of the business' control framework
-Drive awareness of data flows and ensure that controls are in place over critical data flows to confirm that no data is being lost
-Change management protocols are adhered to and compliant with the Control Framework standards.
-Control documentation is kept up to date.
-5+ years Financial Crime related experience derived from roles within either banking/consultancy/legal or government and other financial crime legislation
-Strong operational experience and demonstrated ability to develop and enhance solid processes and controls
-Demonstrated experience leading a team to provide advice on financial crime risks.
-Tertiary qualification in an analytics discipline such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics
-Commercial acumen and experience dealing with and managing senior business stakeholders.
-Programming skills in either SQL or SAS are highly desired.
