Risk and Compliance Specialist - 6 Month Contract

This is a project driven role to assist in the uplift of controls, frameworks and policies. A great opportunity to use your knowledge and experience in Risk and Compliance whilst having exposure to the wider Risk and Compliance Function.

This is a key role in driving ongoing enhancement of the 3 lines of defence risk model through continual engagement with the business across all levels to enhance the risk and controls management frameworks.

The Responsibilities

• Assists with providing oversight and challenge on application of Compliance Management Frameworks
• Advises business partners, including senior management, on the Compliance Management Framework, BEAR requirements, Compliance programs and applicable laws and regulations,
• Updating and drafting compliance policies and procedures
• Providing advice and challenge on education and training requirements to internal stakeholders
• Prepares compliance reporting for management and governance forums

The Requirements

You are a passionate risk and compliance professional with high attention to detail, who is comfortable working within a busy risk and compliance team. You will utilise your problem solving skills to overcome challenges. Your energy, commitment and level-headed approach ensures you thrive in this dynamic environment.

• A minimum 3-5 year's relevant experience in financial services with a focus on risk & compliance activities.
• A strong understanding of the banking & financial services regulatory environment
• Technical writing experience- framework/policy enhancement
• Proven related experience in an organisation within the financial services or related industry
